I didn't buy it, but my first car was a hand-me-down 1990 Chrysler Lebaron convertable from my grandma!

1967 Chevelle. Wish I had that car now. It had a huge trunk and a nice back seat for late night activities. I suppose I must be older than everyone else here.

Actually my first vehicle when I turned 16 was a brand new 1972 Honda 350 motorcycle. Not sure how I ever talked my parents into that.
The car came 1 1/2 years later. Hard to date in the winter on a motorcycle.

    1. 1983 Buick LeSabre (got in 1994, had for 1 year)- brown with a couch in the front and a couch in the back, engine blew up
    2. 1983 Lincoln Towncar (got in 1995, had for 2 months) - tan same as above, a/c and heat went out
    3. 1983 Cadillac Deville (1996, had until I went to college) - Brownish gold - no idea what happend, I think my sister wrecked it after I went to college
    4. 1993 Saturn (got in 1998, traded in 2004) - purplish red, small little 2 door
    5. 1999 or 2000 Honda Accord (got in 2002, traded in in 2005) - silver, 4 door
    6. 2005 Honda CR-V (got in 2005, still have it) redish

My step-dad had a thing for buying me 1983 LARGE cars when I was in high school. Safety, I guess. My dad bought me the Saturn in college and the others I bought myself.

We have also bought a Blazer (sold) and a Wrangler that Jeff drives.

1985 Buick Century with a rack of bull horns attached to the front bumper. The car was amazing for its ability to hold 13 high school kids and still be able to drive it (4 in front, 7 in back, 2 in the trunk). It would shake so violently when you got it up to 85mph (top speed)!

Re: First car/truck/van that you ever bought.

You guys had some decent cars. The first vehicle I ever had was a 1968 Chevy halfton truck, my dad and I roofed some guy's house for it. It was a total pile.

Then I bought a 1977 Cutlass Supreme. I miss that car terribly, it was awesome. I took a 70 mph impact on the highway when I was crossing HWY 30, right behind the driver's side rear wheel.

I drove away. It was totally screwed up, but still, they don't make them like that anymore.

1984 Monte Carlo. My parents shelled out a whopping $200 (that is what they bought my brother's first car for, '78 mustang fastback) and I paid the other $1000.

Blew the motor my 3rd year of college.

I didn't buy it personally, but my first car was a 1977 brown Monte Carlo. The thing had balls but it only lasted a year then pooped out.

My favorite car was right after that and that was the 1982 Toyota Corolla. I got that right before I graduated high school. In college my friends and I road-tripped that baby to death. It was so reliable. It also handled really well in bad weather. It amazes me that we never got picked up for alcohol possession in that thing.

Re: First car/truck/van that you ever bought.

I'm going to answer this 2 ways and I'll explain why. I didn't actually buy a car with my own money until this past summer. My 1st 2 cars were either bought or a hand me down from my parents and my previous car was a used car that was my college graduation gift from my aunt.

So my actual first "bought" car is my current one, a 2007 Chevy Monte Carlo SS:

Mine is just like this except I have the silver trim on the bottom

My very first car in HS was a 1977 Ford Granada:

Just like this one except white. It was your old ladies car too, had 75k miles on it I think and not a spot of rust when we bought it. By the time my brother and I were done with it was on it's last legs. That metal front bumper could take some hits though!

College car was a 1991 Pontiac Bonneville hand me down that we sold with about 240k+ miles on it:

That one is pretty close to the same colors too. Thing still ran like a champ too!

And lastly my college graduation gift was a 1999 Grand Am SE Coupe pretty close to this one:

Had about 53k miles on it but was fairly loaded. Most generous gift my aunt ever gave me and my brother got her next Grand Am. Her claim is "you and your brother are getting everything of mine when I die so I might as well watch you enjoy it while I'm alive!" Sold it with about 106k miles on it so got some good use out of it.

Haha, yeah I got it when I rode with Doc Brown in his Delorean. Thanks, I fixed it now.
