My wife and I have been married for over 28 years and have never had an issue with money. This has been possible by following a very simple concept we adopted early in our marriage.

I am responsible for all major decisions in the household.
My wife is only allowed to make minor decisions.

In over 28 years of marriage there has never been a major decision. Seems to work very well.

Just the way it should be, I think I read that in the bible, so it is just the way it is.

I always tell my wife she vowed to love, honor, and OBEY me during our wedding ceremony.

(actually they don't say obey anymore, but since there is no video evidence, I keep trying to convince her that she DID say it.)

My brother and I did that growing up and I took it in to the bank one time and to my surprise, it had more than $400 in it. That was a nice thing to have as a jr in HS.

My wife and I are "of one mind" when it comes to money. The problem is when we buy each other gifts, we tend to want to overspend on each other.

I like guns, and I used to overspend on them, but I grew up.

Whatever is left from our our individual accounts can be spent anyway you want with no interagation. This program removes all the bitterness which develops when one spouse thinks he or she is getting screwed because they are paying more than their fair share. If I want to spend $50 at the golf course and she spends $50 at the shopping mall, no one is bothered because it is your money.
