Try Timbaland's CD. He's a great producer and there are a lot of decent to good songs on there. Good energy too.

Kanye West's new record is good. I've actually been using mine towards the new rental service.

Second this - "Graduation" is solid. I would also recommend Spoon's newest album (Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga) and anything Kings of Leon, if you're looking for alternative/rock.

Don't ask a 36 year old white male.

The last good rap CD I heard was
Public Enemy
It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. It's different and doesn't really fit what you said, but they are unbelievably good at what they do. I suggest them to as many people as I can.

Try 'White & Nerdy' by "Wierd Al" Yankovic. I also like his 'ebay' song. Absolutely hilarious.

There is no shame in that. That album was phenomenal!! Revolutionary at the time, and it still holds up today.

I'de definitely second that. Banjo and all!

Another artist worth checking out is Mike Doughty, one of my favorites and most played recently.
