    Mexico Fishing

    My wife and I are going to Cancun first week in March. I'm looking into booking a fishing excursion. Most likely shallows or flats versus deep sea fishing. Anyone have any experience they would like to share? I'm leaning towards a trip to the Assention Bay area. They claim a decent chance of tarpon, bonefish, permit and possibly snook and barracuda.

    Is this your first trip to Cancun? If so - you'll love it. I can't really help on the fishing part but I had to post because I'm jealous that you're going and didn't invite me

    Deep sea fishing is awesome...just dont get really drunk the night before and fall asleep on the way out. You can still get a sunburn in the morning.

    Hey- My fam and I will be there that same week- where are you stayin? Don't worry about spring breakers- Cancun is so spread out that you will most likely by pretty isolated from them unless you go out at night.

    We are Staying at Moon Palace which is south of hotel zone and east of the airport. Rewards trip from work.
