Could this be related to the landing strip the Others had Sawyer, Kate, etc building last season?
According to spoilerfix.com the 6 are (highlight)
[The 6 are Sun, Jin, Kate, Jack, Hurley and Sayid.]

Re: LOST season 4 episode 1
Ok, finally watched the show on abc.com streaming (loving that). I think most everything has been said, but I don't know why everyone is discounting the fact that Ben could be in the coffin. He doesn't have to count toward the six, and it makes a lot of sense why no one went, save Jack for curiosity.
The problem is the show is not written as most shows to follow a particular plot structure that we are all familiar with :). So guessing something a bit obscure may be more spot on.
Also, on the "enhanced" season finale, they mentioned the 19th century slave ship that crashed and that is where they got the dynamite. So, has that ship been mentioned in the show before, and where (if so). And then isn't it possible that that ship has gold, etc. or something that this crew is looking for. It seems a bit simple, but there could be something to that ship.
Also, online they have that one dude's journal. I don't remember him at all. Could someone fill me in on who that is?

They've gone back to it a few times, I believe, including the episode where Sawyer discovers the "real" Sawyer that conned his parents when he was a child.
I refused to highlight, but I scrolled down in the advanced post window and saw it. Damn! I figured anyway. Not too much of a spoiler, I hope.

Re: LOST season 4 episode 1
Thanks for the info on the Black Rock. I missed a lot of season 1, but have watched pretty regularly since. I am going to catch up with ABC streaming.
Anyone have info on those online journals?

Wasnt the real Sawyer being held captive in some sort of large ship? Maybe Rouseau's? Was a totally different location from teh Black Rock. I liked in the special recap on wednesday night where they mentioned various people from all walks of life have been to the island and discovered its power. During that statement, they showed the black rock, the statue foot, etc. So we can assume over centuries this island has been inhabited. Its crazy.

The black rock is also a major part of the find815.com storyline.

Re: LOST season 4 episode 1
So those video diaries actually could be linked to find815.com? I haven't really done much with that site.
Also bostinelosd mentioned the foot statue. It only had 4 toes I think. I wonder what that is about. Maybe a Simpson's character? ;)

Re: LOST season 4 episode 1
On the Oceanic 6 Guesses . . . Desmond said he had a vision with Claire and Aaron (her baby) getting into a helicopter. I don't know if that would count as 2 or 1, but I'm guessing Claire is one of the Oceanic 6.
And that Christian Shepherd being in Jacob's Cabin . . . Hurley doesn't know what Christian Shepherd looks like, so it seems unlikely to be a hallucination on his part. Extremely bizaar, and makes it seem more likely that Jack wasn't just out of his gord when he was screaming about his father at the end of Season 3.
I LOVE LOST!

I LOVE LOST! You know, I was watching online the episode where they recap LOST from last week and when Locke goes into the cabin, we see a flash of a man in a chair I think, so it might be him again there. Kind of looked like his profile.

Speaking of Claire, they've kind of abandended that whole story line about her baby being "special."

It would just seem to me that they can't do anything about the baby's story line until it grows up a bit more. I know it being "special" is a bit hard to grasp now, but it'd seem a bit hokey if the baby suddenly started spinning in mid air spewing pea juice in every direction. -

I would suspect Jacob and the smoke monster are one in the same.

Re: LOST season 4 episode 1
I don't know. I was wondering if the Smoke Monster was a manifestation of the Island, like it's brains. Too bad it killed Mr. Ecko though. He was my favorite.
