It's been a long time since I saw a site that didn't work in Firefox but worked in IE. ActiveX
At work we've got some applications that won't run properly on Firefox because their makers are Microsoft "partners" and have gone all in on some of the .NET stuff that doesn't work well with Firefox.
Most consumer sites do, however, work just fine with firefox.

Re: Firefox, IE, Opera or Other?
Safari is the default browser for Mac's, but there are some applications that don't work real well on it, including the latest version of hotmail, so I went to Firefox and never came back

Re: Firefox, IE, Opera or Other?
I was using Firefox for everything, but webmail at work. When I installed Firefox on my new home PC I screwed something up importing my favorites. It's kind of comical in that when you try to open Firefox it opens up one window after another after another... The only way I have found to stop it is to uninstall it and by the time I do I have over 200 windows of Firefox open. Very sad.

Thats honestly where I think FF fails. They really need to make themselves work properly for all sites. The addon IE plugin for FF is fine, but you shouldnt have to get the plug in at all.

Re: Firefox, IE, Opera or Other?
Got a question here. I'm pretty savvy with a computer but can't figure out how to make firefox open when I use desktop shortcuts I made with IE. Do I need to start over or is there somewhere I can change the properties? Never really had a problem with IE but have messed with firfox last couple of days and noticed a difference in speed. The biggest reason for my late coming around is because my brother loves firefox and is a total mac homer. Thanks

If sites were written so that they didn't depend on those kinds of controls, it wouldn't be much of an issue.

Does anyone know when Firefox 3 is due out?

Re: Firefox, IE, Opera or Other?
I don't know where you all are having problems with Firefox - webmail works perfectly for me, I don't have an issue with popups, and it blows IE out of the water when it comes to speed.

Right click on the file you want to open, highlight "Open with..." and click "Choose program." A box pops up. If Firefox appears in the "Recommended programs", click on it, select "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file," and click OK. If Firefox doesn't appear in the recommended programs, you will need to browse for firefox.exe in the Mozilla Firefox folder in Program Files.
Hope this helps.

Hopefully the last two Beta versions are run through quickly.
