Well considering scientists are close to recreating prehistoric animals (very close), I wouldnt put it past someone with an agenda to develop/warp viruses to use as a weapon. Like is common now a days, if you see it in the movies, someone will create it.

This is the kind of responses I really enjoy reading. I believe the Cyclone nation will survive the zombie wars, especially if more people think like this.

Ill make sure I hang out with you then. Just in case hesitate slightly. I think I would be the same as you. If my kids were zombified it would kill me to make that decision.....my wife not so much =) JK.... Im sure OJ would love zombie day. Could kill anyone he wants and people wouldnt think twice.

Actually I could probably make it through at least a year, since I have a generator to power my house and 1,000 gallons of diesel to boot. I've also got my guns and won't have to wait until hunting season to start pluggin the wild game here.

What are you going to do if the wildlife are zombies ala Resident Evil. Watch out for those tundra squirrels!

But in Resident Evil (the last one at least) Alaska isn't infected with the zombies so he should be safe no matter what. But if we look at "I am legend" he's screwed because he has no daylight in the winter to hunt and gather.

Ah yes, very true. Forgot they were trying to get to Alaska in that one. Hopefully he can grow his own food indoors or eat peat or something.

The translation of "Eskimo" is meat eaters. They have been surviving on meat and little else for thousands of years. I would supplement my diet of wild game with salmon. I could net a lot of salmon when they are running in the summer, dry them, and eat dried salmon throughout the winter.

I don't have to worry about the darkness either; moose camp out next to my deck during most of the winter so I don't have to go far to find them (like I could shoot them from my bedroom window).

While I love Alaska, one of the greatest places I've ever been, I'd much rather be in a big city when the Zombies attack. Not to big, but someplace I can scavange for supplies pretty easily. I'd set up and run a resistance force and would stay in contact with the lone survivors in Alaska and other remote places. Giving them hope that someday I will resume order amongst all the chaos.

Luckily I 'll have recovered from my previously mentioned shovel beating in time to eat model brains and have me a whole bus load of zombie hotties to roll with.
