Re: Lost Episode 5
I am not so sure what the Oceanic 6 are supposed to say when it comes to the other survivors. There was news footage of the entire plane, bodies included, on the bottom of the ocean. However we know that the plane broke up in to different sections, tail portion, etc. Perhaps they are trying to maintain the cover-up?

I bet this is right on...perhaps the Oceanic 6 get off the island, and the Amaddon folks, the bad guys, didnt want that to happen, but they somehow got off...and once word got out that there were survivors, the bad guys intercept the 6, tell them that if they don't keep their mouths shut about the island, what goes on there, then they will kill everyone that was left behind...
Claire either dies, or has Kate take the baby so it can live a normal life...I would guess the former.
Jack can stand to see Aaron because its a reminder of what he left behind, both the people, and the allure, on the island.

If Sayid lived next door, I'd always be afraid we'd go golfing at the Island Links and he'd put two bullets in me because Ben got bad sushi or something.

I think he doesn't want to see the baby for one of two reasons: 1)... Because he knows it's his nephew and something bad happened to Claire. Or 2)... Because he thinks Sawyer is the babydaddy.

Re: Lost Episode 5
I agree. Something must have happened to Claire and Jack was either directly or indirectly responsible for, hence the guilt he obviously harbors in relation to Aaron.
A question posed by a co-worker: Could Aaron in the flashfoward actually be Kate's child that she named Aaron? My guess is that the producers wouldn't be that evil, but anything is possible
This episode also showed that future Kate really wants to have future Jack in her life and set a pretty solid timeline for the flashforwards assuming Aaron in the future is the same child as Aaron on the island. The kid in the forward looked about 3-4 meaning the producers are trying to get us to think the flashforwards are happening "now" at least in the case of Kate, Jack, and Hurley.
Best Show Ever.

Re: Lost Episode 5
I wasn't so surprised that the baby was named Aaron, mainly because someone suggested that last week on this board. Good prediction, whoever that was. I just watched it on streaming. I was a bit disappointed that it dealt with Kate, as we already knew she got off the island, but not a bad episode.
I think that those on the island that stay are there because they want to be. Jack wants to get back because he realizes his life was better there. A real shocker to me would be if Locke ends up as one of the Oceanic 6. I just hope Sawyer stays in the show somehow, either as one of the 6 or on the island. He is too big of a character to disappear.
In one of the previews before this season there is a scene with Hurley on a beachy area on his knees among what look like crosses. Was there a mass death?
Will we see Michael and Walt again (or "bigger, ghost Walt" :) )?
I'm sure I'll have more to say later, but have to think a little.

Re: Lost Episode 5
You have to remember that Abbadon asked Hurley in the Looney bin if "they are still alive", so that must mean that to his knowledge only the Oceanic Six were alive on the island and rescued. He knows more people were there, but doesn't have proof. Love the show, just wish I could wrap my head around where they are going with the storyline. Almost wish I hadn't seen a minute of the show, then just rent all the dvd's in a weekend. Probably makes more sense at the end of the series

Re: Lost Episode 5
One thing I just caught when watching the enhanced episode 3: Desmond had had a vision of Claire and Aaron getting onto a helicopter. So will this really happen? Why does Kate have the baby then (supposedly)?

Oooh. That gets really interesting if he said Aaron's mother and was referring to Kate.
Also, does anyone know if they are planning to keep doing the enhanced episodes each week? It seems they are doing every one this season a week later. If there is going to be a gap in showings because of the writers' strike and the time it takes to get more done, I wonder if they will show them then.
