If you go to the Yahoo! homepage, there is a video about how scientists are attempting to make contacts bionic. They could possibly do things like monitor health, help see far away (like a zoom), or even night vision. How sweet would that be! It doesn't seem like it's too far off.
As a glasses/contacts wearer for 30+ years, I would do backflips for something like this. Improving night vision and a zoom feature? Sounds good to me!

So they are working this and making it public. I wonder how much of this is already developed or being highly sought after by goverment agencies and spy networks.
This is interesting though. I wonder how you trigger the zoom feature, night vision, etc.
Does it come with a remote? Pull your right ear for zoom in, pull the left to zoom out?
That is probably the biggest issue now... getting it to transmit a wireless signal to a tiny remote. It would have to have a remote, otherwise it would be crazy. Eventually, maybe they'll make a voice-activated remote!
