eeks. Even with "significant tenure" this is the kinda "whoopsie" that should probably result in at least a very stern talking to, unless it turns out he had a good reason to turn off 2 levels of protection, in which case there should probably be 3 levels of protection.

yeah, although sometimes news outlets are not the most reliable relayers of information in these cases ... I'm guessing the PR person for FPL has no idea what a relay looks like either.
I remember a certain Iowa paper with a picture of a cooling tower with the caption "Smoke billows from power plant" after a fire was reported at a local site.
