What can you live without

This is definitely an epidemic among women. My wife and one of her friends text back and forth all the time. I always say, "why don't you just call her? You can discuss the same thing in about 1/10 of the time!" For some reason, she just ignores me though.

So, our youngest teenage daughter is away to a leadership conference, and my wife comes up to me with tears in her eyes. I'm all worried and stuff, but my lovely bride sputters something through her tears about her daughter "texting" her from the conference.

Evidently it's something much more special than "calling."

I "get" the "teenaged daughter who still likes her mom" thing. Don't get how texting is better than talking, though.
