What does your 2008 raise look like?

It's that time of the year when a lot of companies hand out raises. I'd like to get an idea what everyone else gets for a raise. This is a private poll.

I got 3%. The big boss got around $17 million last year. Seems about right.

I figure tuition will probably go up at least 7-9%...

I just took a new position with our company in December, so I'm pretty sure I haven't earned a raise just yet.

I don't get my raise until Julyish. My last job my raises were about 4%

Worked at a place last year that paid super low for the field of work. Then on top of that, they only gave out cost of living increases. So you were already living in the dirt, but in case the dirt was costing more, they gave you a little more to help. Im not exaggerating either. What a joke. The president of the school made a ton but didnt value anyone else.

This new job is great, but Im not sure what kind of raises they do. Still to new.

Funny this comes up - my boss said this morning we should be getting our raise info sometime today. I'm very curious to see how it comes out - I just finished my first year after graduation, so we'll see - hope it's good!

8% every year like clockwork.

Usually around 3-4%, but this year I got a promotion, so it was more like 10%.

I work for the State so 2.9% is considered excellent... :-( Oh well, I do get 5 weeks of vacation, 3.5 weeks of sick time, and 200% matching on my 401K.

With real inflation at about 10% versus reported inflation, things get more intersting for workers.

If it wasn't good enough, I'd go do something else.
