he is a pretty funny actor but some of his movies are fairly lame

First off the American Office is the best with Micheal Scott and Dwight K Shrute!!! Secondly the reason the American Office is better is because of Steve Carrell and thats pretty much the only reason why this movie might be worth the $10 to see it.

I love the American version, but I agree with this 100%. Ricky Gervais is a freaking genius. It's much more understated. Martin Freeman kills me, too. The chick who played Dawn was also great in "Shaun of the Dead".

There is NO way that Steve Carrell's character is better than Ricky Gervais'. The whole American version of The Office is just a caricature of the characters in the UK Office.

I like both shows, but the UK version is superior in almost every way.

Steve Carrell is a pretty funny guy, most of the time. He's kinda a one trick pony, though.
