Ames Snow Removal

if you think Ames is bad, you haven't been to Cedar Falls and Waterloo. By the way atleast in Ames there isnt gigantic potholes in the middle of the road on major roads in the city

I thought Ames was bad for snow removal and potholes and then I went to Iowa City this past weekend. Ames looks like California compared to squawk city. I hit a pothole getting off the interstate (thought it was a patch, nope) and actually stopped at the first place I could to make sure I hadn't destroyed the rim or gotten a flat.

That being said it seems like Ames snow removal efforts are pretty dismal. They don't even think about getting out to plow the roads until they are 100% sure that the snow is done and gone. By that point so many people have gotten out and driven on it that the snow is packed.

I agree with you about Marshalltown...we don't even use the word Marshalltown and "snow removal" in the same sentence this year. You need to come back and take a look at the potholes!

I thought my truck was going to fall apart driving on the main drag off 30 (HWY 14?).
