Fat Tire now available in 12's!

Welcome to 1998. The rest of the country has been waiting for you.

I know, I have been conning people that went to missouri or nebraska to get me tire for years. I liked the bombers, but 12's are the perfect size.

Am I the only one who doesn't think Fat Tire is all that great of a beer?
It's just blah.
New Belgium DOES make some good beers, but I don't think Fat Tire is one of them.

I agree with you 110%... to me Fat Tire tastes a little skunky. It's not the hops because I love hops it is just an off taste of some sort. It's almost like there is some sort of metallic taste too it. It does taste better out of the bottle than on tap I will admit though.
I'd much rather have a lot of other micros.
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

I don't know why Fat Tire was hyped as a "great" beer, but I was rather disappointed with the taste as well. I guess I was just expecting the best.

I'd much rather have a lot of other micros. I'm with you both on this. I don't much care for it. But, I'd drink one if it were free. -

The best beer I've had from New Belgium is their La Folie
It's really an outstanding beer. When I was at the brewery last year I bought a couple of bottles (it only comes in 750s) that have been aging in the basement for 9 months or so.
The Abbey is pretty good too. I prefer it to all the other "regular" beers they make. Outside of that I like the 1554 better as well.
Actually, of all the beers I've had of theirs, I think I like Fat Tire the least (and this was fresh from the brewery).

I actually drink a lot more mothership than fat tire. It is a nice crisp light after dinner beer.

It's just blah. No, you aren't. I think it's highly overrated.
