Couldn't the lawyers have done something to at least the the case dismissed? It would seem reasonable that the lawyers could say something about knowing the person charged is innocent without revealing the source...but that's probably the problem...is would seem reasonable
If a lawyer were to do so it wouldn't take too long for a smart prosecutor to know exactly what they were implying.
