Firefox Beta 4 came out today. So far so good. Seems to be faster. Be aware that since this is beta most of your plug-ins won't work.

Saw a couple problems with text field cursors but nothing earthshaking. Should be a pretty good upgrade.

I didn't notice how slow ff 3 beta 3 was until I upgraded to beta 4.

Also, I must say.. they said that Beta 4 was fast on GMail and stuff... holy cow! They weren't kidding! Mozilla is pushing out a lot of Beta releases, but with the type of quality product they're making, I'm glad they're getting it to be the best it can be before release! The complete Firefox 3 is gonna be awesome.

I think I need to try Firefox out. I've heard a lot about it. I just did a quick search for it and I can download 2.02, where can I get 4?

3 is currently in beta (3.0b4 was just released). You can find it here: Firefox web browser | International versions: Get Firefox in your language
3.0 seems to work pretty well, and I haven't had any issues so far. Just beware that not everything may work right just yet.
edit: In case you don't use firefox, it's seriously worth it just for spellcheck alone in dialog boxes on CF | | |

I downloaded it a few weeks ago, but uninstalled as most of the add-ins don't work with v3 yet.

I've been using firefox since well before it was called firefox. I use IE for just a couple of sites these days (work sharepoint and webmail). Every time I use IE I miss Firefox, and once I get used to 3.0 it's going to be even worse I suspect.

I didn't consider the incompatibility between the beta and add-ons to be a bug, that's natural as the add-ons need updated.
But I use enough of them that personally, I wanted to wait. If I wasn't using add-ons, I'd be surfing in lightening speed with v3. :)

ForcastFox noscript is a good one too, if you're super paranoid about stuff :D

Tabbrowser preferences also rocks. And if you have 2 or more computers and want to sync your saved passwords, the Password Exporter is very handy.
