My mom just checked her messages on her phone and it was a policeman from Cedar Falls. My older brother goes to UNI and the policeman was telling her that there was a possible gunman on campus and to stay away from Dancer Hall...
Anyone have any knowledge of this?

I just got a call from my sister who goes to UNI... she says the dorms are on lockdown, but they don't know anything more than a "suspected gunman" is on campus. Looks like they're taking the necessary precautions.. I hope everyone there is safe.  |

my brother's girlfriend goes to UNI and it sounds like someone got a threat around 5pm and the gunman is driving there from des moines or something..
that's all second-hand hearsay as far as a know, so take it fwiw.

UNI Police have received a threat of a gunman coming to campus to confront a student in Dancer Hall. Dancer Hall is locked down, Please stay away from the towers area -- Dancer Hall, Bender Hall and Towers Center. More updates to follow.

Just talked to a high school classmate who lives in Dancer Hall. She said they all got emails and texts telling them to stay away from Dancer. She also said she could hear police men talking outside her door.

sounds like they are being very cautious (which is a good thing).. and things are being clear so far.
Sounds like some idiot from off campus threatened his girlfriend that lives in Dancer Hall that he was gonna come shoot her or something.. rediculous.
Students are currently allowed to leave the building.
