Roger is to complex to address in a single post, you see. We could all probably spend the remainder of our lives attempting to explain Roger Sprague and never approach the "essense" of the true "TAR Tiger".

There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams -
Re: Roger Sprague
I was not around for this whole Roger Sprague thing. Is he a reincarnate of Bill Brasky?

Re: Roger Sprague
This is mean, but my inner monolgue for Roger Sprague's voice is Peter's boss at Patucket brewery, Opie. "I think that people are responding to someone standing up and saying this is what we want to do and let's not be afraid to go for it,'' Pollard said. "I think Iowa State has a very conservative, modest background. We never pound our chest and say `Let's do it.' It's OK to set a goal. You can't do it if you don't say what you want to do. You should be proud of it.''

Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
