It's a French Panhard VBL - Think an armored "dune buggy"!!!!!
This would be sooooo sweet!
The French Foreign Legion is in town to train, and they have something like 20 or so of these things sitting outside my window at work, making it hard to park and get around.
They let me get finger oil all over one, and now I just have to have it.
I'm thinking that BrianHos needs one of these to go along with MrsBrianHos' purse. Don't you? |

Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

Ironically, the elite part of the French Army is made up of foreigners who actually want to fight for France. So, non-French people will fight for France, but French people won't?
So, what if the FFL decided to take over? We could havea CyBookie event on the over/under # of days to victory!

That didn't precisely work out very well, for them.
They all marched into prison, singing "We have no regrets!" the Legion's anthem.
These guys are a) really skinny and b) hard as rock.
I thought I was pretty bad, today, doing 22 pullups in the gym, but the FFL guys jumped up after me, and the one guy could've done them for hours, it looked like. |

It didn't work out well----------Does that mean the actual French actually fought back?

Nice ride though! One of the coolest parts, though, is that it has two water turbines hanging off the rear of it, and can swim without preparation. The turbines are fully steerable, too, so it is pretty maneuverable in the water. |
