Duel Screens
Well folks I looked for a thread to post this on but couldn't find one. Anyways I'm looking for some computing expertise, I watch a lot of streaming video i.e. Lost, Dexter, etc while working on the other screen. What I would like to know is, is there anyway I can make inputs on one firefox explorer with out affecting the other one (minimizes the video screen)? Then there is my whole crossover cable problems, saw the thread but doesn't cover my problem. Anywho would appreciate any advice and info. Thanks

Re: Duel Screens
Well if all you want is dual monitors thats pretty simple operation...of course you need two monitors and a video card with either a dual DVI or VGA output. Then its just the process of going into the video card options and selecting the dual monitor setup...XP or Vista should take it from there.

Duel?
Or dual:
Sorry... i feel like being a smart ***.

Re: Duel Screens
I don't think your monitors should duel, I think they should try to use their words and work it out first. If that fails, bet on the monitor that most resembles Aaron Burr.

okay smartasses, is there anything I can do or not.

Re: Duel Screens
I don't follow your questions...
Yes... With dual monitors you can watch video on one full screen, while using the other screen.
I don't know how a cross over cable plays into this.

Re: Duel Screens
I've not used dual screens very much, so I have nothing useful to add to this thread.

Re: Duel Screens
1. I have dual monitors. 2. When I do something on one it affects the other i.e. minimizes the streaming video I'm watching from full screen too standard. 3. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

Re: Duel Screens
Ahh... Now I understand... Probably not, since the video player detects that you have switched windows it immediately exits full screen mode.
My guess is you are out of luck.

Re: Duel Screens
the only solution I see is to watch the video on a separate computer. sorry charlie.

Re: Duel Screens
why settle for dual monitors when you could get dual computers.

Re: Duel Screens
Thanks, I have a laptop too, just wanted to know if there was something I could do.

Re: Duel Screens
I suppose that's dependent on the application used for streaming.

Re: Duel Screens
Brianhos uses dual monitors - he should weigh in at some point.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
