A small company gets dumped by Walmart and becomes a big thorn

From the Wall Street Journal:

For nearly 30 years, Wal-Mart employed Flager Productions, a video-production company to capture footage of its top executives, sometimes in unguarded moments. Two years ago, the retailing giant stopped using the tiny company.

At first, the decision threw Flagler Productions Inc. into a panic. Now it's Wal-Mart that's squirming.

In recent months, Flagler has opened its trove of some 15,000 Wal-Mart tapes to the outside world, with an eye toward selling clips. The material is proving irresistible to everyone from business historians and documentary filmmakers to plaintiffs lawyers and union organizers.

Among the revelaing moments, founder Sam Walton describes Hillary Clinton, then a Wal-Mart director, as "one of us."

Yay, more media circus sideshows.

I was surprised to here that Hilary worked at Wal-Mart. I am surprised that this hadn't gotten press in the past... or did I just miss it?

Walmart is evil! Costco is better on so many levels!

Why would they hire a company to take candid footage of execs? Wal-mart is on the forefront of some new porn fetish aren't they? That company knows no bounds.

And I, Bruno, will dive 1,000 feet into a block of cement. On my head, yet!

I believe she served on their board prior to WJC becoming President.
