Par 3 courses

Are there many Par 3 courses in Iowa? What are your favorites? Watching the masters par 3 makes me wanna go play a round. The only one that I really know of is Jester Parks in Granger.

There is a great one by Webster City about 2 miles south of town. Farmer owned. Green fees are about 9 bucks.

Collison's in Marshalltown. I have played that course like a million times. It even has 18 holes, all par 3. Had my only hole in one there on a 167 yard, uphill par 3.

Re: Par 3 courses

There is a Par 3 course out at Lake Panorama. It is on the west side of the lake. The Lake Panorama National course is located on the east side of the lake. Both are fun to play. The par 3 course was a great way to introduce our daughters to the game. It seemed more manageable to them, heck, it seemed more manageable to me!

I have fought the good fight. I have completed the race. I have kept the faith.

Re: Par 3 courses

Rolling Hills south of Norwalk has a family 9 (par three) they average 80-110 yds per hole, good practice for $10.

Ugh I HATE shots like that. Feel shots inside 100 yards just kill my game right now.

I absolutley love par 3 courses; putter, nine and wedge. Thats all you need. I have played Jester's, Collison's, Sleepy Hallow, Rolling Hills, and Lake Panorama's courses and find Jester's to be the most fun. Great practice for the fraction of the price.
