There might soon be a pill for men.
The funny thing is, I don't expect the male pill to be popular at all. I can think of several potential drawbacks:
One possibility is that women will infer that a man taking the pill can not be trusted since his partner might believe there is a greater likelihood that he is having affairs with others.
Another possibility is that women in any case want the man to use a condom, if only to prevent STDs. If the man is on the pill, it is harder to make that request without insulting him and thus a woman doesn't want her new paramour to be on the male pill.
Finally, as any woman can attest, it's all too easy to miss one or more of those pills. It's therefore very difficult to trust someone else to take them. It's especially hard if you are the one who will bear the heaviest price for a failure. As long as women have the stronger incentive to avoid pregnancy, it will be easier to trust them to keep taking their pills. Especially if you don't live together and thus can't watch him taking it at the same time every morning.

My wife had me fixed, so I don't have a need for the "male pill".
Sweet!!!!

I agree with Alaska. I don't think there will be much demand for this. Might come in handy for those in relationships where the female has bad side effects from her birth control options.

I put my underwear on backwards the other day and wore them like that the whole day because I was to lazy to turn them around. Do you really think man is capable of taking the pill every dayl

I would have taken it in my single days. At least some kind of protection on those drunken nights when absolutely nothing was used to prevent pregnancy or stds.

If this is approved by the FDA, I'm all over it. Condoms suck, and I'm really not in a place to have kids right now. Bring on the pill, science!

Everyone with daughters, hide them.
