Basically if you meet the minimum requirements every month you earn 5.51% APY on your balance. The details are in that link. The tougher part of that is you have to have at least 10 debit card transactions a month. I tend to use my credit more often but if you think about it if you use the debit instead for gas, groceries, etc. could probably rack up 10 transactions easier than you think.
Love this part:
Receive automatic refunds on
ATM fee refunds nationwide — up to $3.00
per transaction
I'm going to seriously consider this. I tend to use my credit card more too for the cash back. But, if I can get 5.5 on my checking it may be worth it.

I still have a small ammount there but they are down to 3.00% now, used to be 4.75% at one time and I'm earning 4.00% where I switched to. Used to be 5.35% till they dropped the rates. I am seriously thinking about switching that money to the Iowa Bank checking deal at 5.51% after learning about that.

My WF account earns me 0.30% APY. That is pathetic.
So, anyone have any suggestions on where to earn the most money on money while keeping it very liquid?
West Bank (not to be confused with bank of the west) just started "reward me checking"
5.00% APY up to $50,000 and 1.25 on balances over 50.
Tell them Mike sent you! :)
