I see lots of people using extremely bad form on the elliptical machines. Basically, you have to use good alignment, and ensure you are getting good extension during all phases of the exercise.

I use the machines merely to extend the time of my workouts. I do short runs 2-3 days a week, and do a complete resistence/stretching workout 4 days a week, so I end up hitting each body part twice.

That would be nice to do. Unfortunately my schedule would not allow running over lunch but it would be nice. By the time you run 3-5 miles, where is your time for lunch!?

I took your advice rotating in the weights to my workout. Running on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Weights on Wednesday and Friday. Works pretty well. Now, just the motivation to stick to it...

Great fat blasting diet, and after you get to where you desire, diet turns into lifestyle very easily. I have lost 3-5% bodyfat in 6 months. My friend who is very large has dropped 30lbs and who knows how much body fat. Highly recommend.

Or... You could just eat less and exercise more. And save the $18.

Seriously, I don't believe in "programs" and "diets".

You need to get your nutrients, and rest properly between workouts. And you might want to stay away from overly processed foods.

Remember that fat is the most concentrated form of calories next to sugars.

Otherwise, eat less and exercise more. And stay away from "fads".

Re: Trying to get back in shape...

I will do my arm workout on the first day. That's all the arm lifts. It takes about 1 and 1/2
day 2 I do all my leg lifts which takes about the same time
day 3 I rest and the just repeat the cycle
I run for 25 minutes each night
and I use these jump shoes to get my vertical up that takes 30 minutes 3 times a week
then I do 100 situps before bed
and I'm gonna have to do a lot more running when it gets closer to football season. And I gotta cut out the junk food too. It tastes so good.
