It is because your brain is telling you to wake up and make sure nobody attacked your village during the night!
Ha - knock on wood, I don't get attacked very often!! I'm hoping my luck holds out!!
My brain just doesn't shut off until about midnight or 12:30, then it is just rolling around first thing in the morning. I always find that I get the best ideas while I'm trying to get to sleep, though!
Ok so I guess it was 3:30 in Iowa... but still. When I do mornigns, it's usually the part of the morning that you're in bed I have always been a night person, and it's killing me now that I have a real job
My body achieves a "minimum Gibbs Free energy" with a bed time of somewhere around 2 a.m./waking up around 10, and it's still pretty low between 1 and 4 a.m.
It takes signficant "energy" to get me in bed by midnight/waking up at 6:30... you'd think a few hours wouldn't make a different but it's huge.
For those that don't get the Gibbs free energy joke or don't get it as I've applied it here: when Gibbs Free energy of a system is at a minimum, thats when the system is in equilibrium. The more energy required to achieve a state, the further from equilibrium it is. So going to bed at 11 or 12 is unnatural for me
I've got to lay off the nerdiness..
It takes significan
Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy
Am I the only one who gets on CF early every morning? I'm threatening to take over the latest postings on all the front page articles. I dare someone to stop me!
Then... you'd be doing MY job.
Don't go there, man... don't go there. I got 7 hours of time-zones working on my side.
I agree with Cyclonepride. You should ALL get up at like 3 am so I don't come in to work at 0500 Central European Time, and have like 7 pages of "He sucks!" "No he doesn't" to wade through before I can respond to a post on page 1 of a 125 page thread.
