World Cities???
Athens - Just got back from there, but wow!
Munich/Nuernberg/Regensburg - I live an hour from all three of these, and they are awesome places to visit. (As an aside, any CFer who can make it to one of these places when I'm not in a training cycle can have a free tour and the first beer on me!)
Savannah, Georgia - Just love this town/area.
Kiev, Ukraine - Used to be home of the world's strongest beer (Imperial Ale - 18.5% alcohol, and I once drank 1.5 liters of it at lunch on a dare.... ) I also convinced the woman I loved more than life that she should feel the same about me, here.

Of course I haven't been to very many other world cities but I can't imagine it getting much better.

I say we play a game against our second team players. We would have a closer game! I can't wait to see us shove it down ISU's throats! They are going to need some syrup for all the pancakes we will be getting.---lukestylez (Hawkeye Fan)

Hamburg, Germany in a similar way as Amsterdam. Red light district was "interesting" to walk through.
Salzburg
Venice I fully expected to be overrated, but loved it.
My #1 favorite city is Eisenach, Germany. Not necessarily a tourist hotspot, but I've been there 3 times and it probably has more to do with the timing.
All 3 times in the spring right after classes let out. 10 days of sitting on the streets, sipping on the dark beer with one hand and a thuringer sausage in the other. The bun covered just a little of it and a thin layer of mustard running from one end to the other.

Hmmmm where to start? I didn't spend much time in any of them, so time spent / who was there is a factor. The cities I had the most fun in were the ones I spent the most time so but... whatever
Amsterdam (not for the reasons you think )
Paris, France
Carcassone, France (Old fortified city with walls and towers left from roman times, and everything on up)
Krakow, Poland. Had a damn good time there. And lots of vodka...
London, England My stay there wasn't long enough
Rome, Italy Again, didn't stay long enough
Berlin, Germany Good time but I was ready to go home
Valencia, Spain Breaking the length of visit rule, I spent the most time here, so got to know it a lot better but not as exciting as some places. Still had a good time
<insert several day trips to various Spanish cities like Salamanca and Toledo>
The Vatican I didn't get blessed by the Pope but I blessed his coffers... | Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!

I forgot about Rome. Anyone who has even the slightest interest in history would love it there. Does the Vatican count as a different city?

Barcelona, Paris, Salzburg, Prague, Amsterdam, London, Edinburgh, Dublin, Rome...how can you choose??
I studied abroad through ISU in Newcastle, England, and it was one of the best experiences of my life.

I think we've had this conversation before, but the "real" Thuringer sausage from there is un-flippin-believable.
Our next door neighbor from back in Iowa lives in Eisenach 3 months out of the year, as she is originally an Eisenacher.

Funny story about the Red Light District:
We arrived in Amsterdam, and I wanted to go out and see the sights. My wife (then fiancee) was too tired, and stayed in the hotel to sleep. I got lost in the Red Light District, and was two hours late in getting back to the hotel. Try explaining that one to your fiancee!!
If you've ever been to the RLD, you can see that it is labyrinthine and easy to get lost in!
