Novel approach, but it seems to have worked for the kid. The girl said yes, he gets his 15 minutes of fame, and a day off from school.

Speaking of proms, did anyone else notice the amount of "coverage" the Rag gave DM-area proms? You couldn't access their website w/o having pics of proms thrown in your face. There has got to be something more newsworthy than high school proms.

I was actually going to make a new thread about that the other day. Do they really think anyone is going to sit at their computer and look through all those prom pictures?

I didn't read the whole thing, but I'm rather concerned about how this all happened. Were boys writing on each others butts? Did they practice for weeks and write it on themselves?

I'm close with my friends but I wouldn't let them write on my butt cheeks.

This may start a national trend. We may see special messages at football games proposing, asking for a divorce, dates, jobs, donating. Yeah, donating.

Hell, you ought to see the print edition of the Ankeny Register whenever there is a local prom, it's front page news with pictures galore on the inside!

I don't get the prom coverage either. Prom has got to be the most over rated, over-hpyed event of the school year, not to mention one of the most expensive.

Kids sell papers,if it weren't for highschool news and sports I know I would not get the Ames Trib.
