I think octopus and squid are about the only seafood I won't eat. There's just something about eating boiled cartilage that doesn't sit right with my stomach. Calamari was the one thing that my grandmother (who is from Italy) would make that I just wouldn't touch.

And homemade tomato sauce. Can't stand to be around my parents' house when they're making it as it puts an odor in the air that just makes me gag. But the taste of the sauce is just incredible...

I love steamed broccoli with just salt on it. I also love mushrooms, black olives, and onions. I sometimes mix ranch and ketchup to make "ranchup" - great on Boji fries.

I can find them canned in the vegetable aisle here. I bought them once and made my family try them.

I do this as well, love the shells but I get weird looks eating seeds whole at work or peanuts at games, luckily I have a good digestive tract to break it up, otherwise

I am guessing they are nothing like the real thing then... They don't sell them on roadsides down there? Must just be a SE thing...

I eat a big bowl of cottage cheese immediately after every long (10M+) run. It is a great way to get some protein to repair the tramau you just put on your legs. I have found a huge bowl (2 cups) of this stuff after a run means I can recover at least a day earlier.

Wife did it all the time when she was pregnant. The other one she did which is totally normal is dip McD's apple pies into a carmel sundae.

Note: These favorites are the result of growing up on a small family farm in Iowa.

1. Mountain Oysters
2. Head Cheese (Been years since I've had this but I remember my Grandma boiling the pig skull to make it!) She was one who believed firmly in "waste not, want not"
3. Homemade smoked sausage
4. Braunswagger

I do this also. Less often with the seeds as those shells tend to be sharp and stick in ones throat. Either way its one heck of a lot easier and cleaner that picking them out by hand or spitting shells out.

I'd try that if I didn't drink my protein shake right after I got done working out. Maybe something to check out, though.
