What would you do?

If you won the lottery? 50+ million.

No sports to speak of so I thought I could get my own off topic thread going... Will add my thoughts later.

Re: What would you do?

i would get a regular house, in a regular neighborhood, get a cabin somwhere, get a couple nice cars, get season tickets too a few teams of interest, and go on some type of trip/cruise.. i would try to look as middle class as possible..

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Re: What would you do?

pay off student loans for me my sister and best friends. buy whatever my parents wanted and then invest in a roth IRA and other solid mutual funds. buy a boat and new slalom ski and some lakeside property and go about my normal life with a little more freedom to do things that i normally wouldnt be able to do because of money concerns. but as Cmoore said I'd try to keep as much of a normal modest life that i could.

4)Donate to my hometown church.
5)Donate to my hometown.

Re: What would you do?

#1 Buy a condo in NYC
#2 Build a log cabin in the mountains
#3 Quit my job
#4 Build a go-cart track in my back yard
#5 Buy the following cars
Aston Martin DB9-My everyday driver :)
Toyota Land Cruiser-My mountain driving SUV
Mercedes CLS 63 AMG
Ferrari F430
Lexus LS600-Wifes car
#6 Buy a Ducati Desmosedici RR-I'd keep it in the house and never drive it. Too risky when you're $$$
#7 Tell everyone that I'm a hawkeye fan so they suck up to me and then at the last minute hand JP a check for a million. Then laugh.

This would probably cost me 5-10 million dollars. I'd invest the rest.

Re: What would you do?

BMW M3
About a 5,000 sq foot ranch out in the country with lots of trees.
Club Seats at ISU
Quit work and just play with the kids full time
buy a house for each of our parents so we can drop the kids off when we travel

Invest the rest so I never have to worry about work or $$ again, and still live within my means.

Re: What would you do?

Immediately I would buy plane tickets for me and all of my friends/family to somewhere, anywhere really, and just have a huge party.

Then I'd golf a lot.
