Favorite XBOX game

My teenage sons have an XBOX 360 game console and spend most of their gaming time playing Rock Band or EA Sports games.

What other fun games should I consider buying for them as gifts?

Can't go wrong w/ the Halo series.

Lego Star Wars (and soon Lego Indiana Jones). A bit juvenile, I know, but it is pretty fun.

The Tomb Raider games (Legend and Anniversary) on the X-Box are also pretty solid, but they take more patience and puzzle solving.

Re: Favorite XBOX game

Regular Xbox or 360?
If original xbox, I recommend Psychonauts and Oddworld: Stranger (This one doesn't work on 360, yet). These are two of the best games for the xbox, but they didn't sell that well.

Also:
Fable,
Splinter Cell,
SSX 2 or 3,
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic,
Ninja Gaiden Black,
Halo 1/2,
Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge

I don't have a 360, but all of these games will work on it except Stranger. They can all likely be found online fairly cheap or at a local gamestop.

Re: Favorite XBOX game

Fable is fantastic for X-Box. Fable 2 is due out on the 360 sometime this year.

Fable 2 for Xbox 360 - Fable 2 Xbox360 Game - Fable 2 Xbox 360 Video Game

Assassin's Creed is another good one.

I agree with the LEGO series, very fun.

I like the Rainbow 6 series, currently at Ranbow 6 Vegas 2. Its a FPS with realistic violence but it is a great co-op online game.

I would also suggest that is you have an X-Box live account you download the game demos and see what sparks their interest.

Obviously Guitar Hero...

I also like a game called "Flatout Ultimate Carnage". It's first and foremost a racing game, but it also has demolition derby and these other "side events" such as high jump, darts, poker, skipping stones, etc., where the catch is you launch the driver out of the vehicle to perform these "stunts." Said stuntman then hits the ground with a resounding and hilarious "thud..."

I play it on 360 and the graphics are great.
