I really hope Rousseau and her daughter arent dead. They really got us invested in their characters and then just ended them in two episodes.

I am pretty sure they are dead, but may still appear in some form.

It just seems weird. We spent these seasons hoping Rouss. would find her daughter...she finally does and then they grease them both. That was kind of abrupt.

Yeah, but I don't know how they could be alive with the once dead, always dead thing the producers said. Unless their deaths were faked also, but that doesn't make sense. It was kind of abrupt...maybe we find out that Rousseau actually is something other than what we thought, or is ...well, who knows. They were kind of interesting characters to kill flippantly like that, but I think that is the point of the freighter guys - they are there to kill.

FYI, the producers have stated that they still intend to divulge Rousseau's story somewhere along the line.

Patchy had a knack for coming to back to life... he was never really properly buried until he blew himself to bits in the Season 3 finale. Jack and Claire's dad is apparently up and walking around, as he was "dead" until they crashed on the island, along with his now-empty coffin.
Plus, the promo for next week lends itself heavily to the "walking dead" on the island.

I'm still not buying it. Patchy was never actually dead, people just assumed he was (like Locke) and Jack's dad also appears and disappears at will just like the a bunch of other dead people have (tied to the smoke monster?). Unless those guys were flat out lying nobody's physically coming back to life. We'll see what happens though...

Here is something to think about:
I think the name that Kate said on the phone was Nadine or Noreen or something like that. Anyway, I'm almost positive that it is the name that the freighter chick (Naomi) that Locke knifed said when she died - "tell my sister Nadine that I love her."
