Yes, they did. You really can't blame these guys. They were just responding to the marketplace and the style at the time. We look back now and laugh but they were selling out stadiums. Unfortunately for them, hair band metal was as big of a fad as disco and it came to a screeching halt when Nirvana released Nevermind. The good news for me is that was my freshmen year of college. I'm so glad I didn't have to attend college during the hairband years. Wow. Alternative Grunge is so much cooler.
