Iron Man
so went to the movie Iron Man today, and I could not give a better review, loved everything about it. I didn't go into it with high expectations, I couldn't really see Robert Downey Jr as a superhero, but I was blown away by how well it worked.
Special Effects are absolutely incredible. If you like superhero movies then you will love this one, even if you don't this movie will at the least entertain you
I highly highly recommend it

Re: Iron Man
I went and saw it at Jordan Creek on one of their new DLP screens (at least, I've never seen it offered before..). The picture quality was astounding... digital projection is the way of the future!
Iron Man itself was pretty good. I wasn't expecting much prior to its release, but the 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes swayed me. Great character development, but the action was underwhelming in my opinion. That last battle was a big disappointment.
I heard there was a little extra at the end of the credits... did anyone stay past those and see what it was?

Re: Iron Man
I don't see Robert as a superhero either so I wasn't to sure if I would like it but from the sound that everyone went to the movie it was pretty good. I will have to go see it after finals week.

There is a cameo by Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. He wants to speak to him about the "Avengers Project."
Robert Downey Jr is supposed to make an appearance in the Incredible Hulk this summer. They are tying them all together for an Avengers movie down the road. That probably won't happen until there is a Captain America movie.

Everyone needs to go see the Cyclone Avenger in action! -

Re: Iron Man
I also loved it, Downey was surprisingly strong as Stark. Yes, the final battle was a little underwhelming and anticlimactic, but they'll have plenty of chances to show off more action in the future. Jon Favreau wants to make a trilogy (looking forward to seeing Terrence Howard as War Machine). Who else caught the references to the "10 Rings"? Mandarin, baby!
An Avengers film would be most pimp. They can't wait too long to do it, though. If they want to do Captain America and Thor, they better do so and then hope to get an ensemble cast in place. I read that Marvel will only do an Avengers film if the same actors from all the individual films reprise their roles. That's why you'll see Downey as Stark in the Hulk. Favreau wants to direct the Avengers... after watching Iron Man, I'd let him do it.

Re: Iron Man
I wanted to see more of Iron Man in action. The scenes where they did have him fighting were awesome..I wanted more.
Downey, Howard and Paltrow all signed 3 movie deals with the studio. Given the opening weekend box-office, I would assume that we will be getting two more sequels.
Question...who are Iron Man's foes?? I know Spiderman, Batman and Superman...but what about Iron Man? Sorry if my geek is showing

Having actually seen a couple battles, I'm glad to hear this. The one thing I just can't STAND about the current era of Hollywood movies is the mandatory CGI, phoney baloney Cecille B. DeMille on steroids "battles" they have to insert into every story.
I look forward to seeing Iron Man even more, but it won't come to a theater near me, until May 18th, and that will be our crappy little letterbox-sized theater here on post.... -

Re: Iron Man
I saw it at the DLP theatre too! Awesome! As far as the Avengers goes, I'm totally psyched for these movies except for Thor - I just don't see how they can do that one...
