Been using it since it came out with no issues. It combines their antispyware and anti virus into one program and offers automated scans, so it is a upgrade in that way. Since you could not do automated scans on the anti spyware software before.

I've used AVG Free for quite a long time, never had an issue.

The new AVG is good stuff. My only issue with it is that a scan can take a couple hours. I suggest starting your scan just before you are ready for bed and letting it run unattended.

I've been using AVG's free version for 3 months now, and, knock on "particle board", er, wood, (nerdy joke, sorry  ), I have not had any problems. Then again, I don't surf questionable sites or open questionable e-mail attachments. Wait, is CF a "questionable" web site?  |

I've had no problems with it.
I'm beginning to regret every dollar I've spent on anti-virus software over the years. These free versions work fine, to the extent that I've ever needed anti-virus software at all...which I probably haven't.
