Disc Golf

Anybody know of some good disc golf courses around central Iowa that are fun to play??? I've been to the two in ames, newton, and going to try boone sometime. Anymore out there worth the drive?

When I was in central Iowa (up to about 2002), Madrid had a nice 12 hole course. Des Moines has some good ones, but can't remember the names anymore.

Can't remember the name, but the one in Indianola is really nice. Best around the Metro.

Speaking of Metro, Grandview and Waterworks. Grandview for sure.

Head out to Saylorville and you got Walnut Creek I think it's called. That one is nice.

Past that, I don't know of any.

Courses

That link has just about all the respectable courses in the area. Ewing Park in Des Moines is a nice course that hasn't been mentioned yet and has pro tees for just about all the holes that can make it a very long course if you like to really throw it.

Re: Disc Golf

My favorites in the DM area (in order of preference)....

Grandview (large mature oaks provide some nice shade in the summer)
Ankeny (I believe it's 21 holes now)
Saylorville (haven't been there for a few years but enjoyed it)
Ewing Park (a few Very Long holes)
Water Works
Big Creek (Bring old crappy discs and plan on loosing a few)
