We did a fun little experiment in college and found that the common phone in the library was the dirtiest thing we sampled on the Wartburg Campus. Less than toilets, locker room areas, etc.

I've read a couple different research studies on such things and they all basically concluded that the bathroom is statistically the cleanest room in regular households and kitchens are the dirtiest. It makes you think. Why am I eating in the dirtiest part of the house and pooping in the cleanest?
