I listened to Gnarls Barkley's new album, The Odd Couple, like four times yesterday. I'm digging it. It's not quite the same as St. Elsewhere, but I like it because it's new and fresh.

Currently I'm listening to the following bands as I'm in concert mode:
Wilco - saw them last night
The Cure - lots of old stuff

I'm also listening to the latest Radiohead and some Josh Ritter.

Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da- beatles
Fort Hood- Mike Doughty

some very nice songs on these lists!
I've never heard of most of the bands listed. I guess I'm getting too old. I'm not into much new music but these are the albums I'm listening to now.
The Raconteurs - Consolers of the Lonely
Radiohead - OK Computer (oldie but goodie)
Chris Cornell - Euphoria Morning
Black Crowes - Live at the Greek
White Stripes - All Albums
Hmm Odd mix for me as always:
Bob -- Primus
Alive With the Glory of Love -- Say Anything (listen to it before judging )
96 Quite Bitter Beings -- cKy
With a Little Help From my Friends
Come Together (Both of these two are off the Across the Universe Soundtrack)
In the Garage -- Weezer
The World has Turned -- Weezer
I REALLY want to go - I haven't been able to find anyone willing to make the trip to Chicago with me. There are SO many awesome bands that are going to be there. I would also love to see The National, Wilco, Rogue Wave, Rage, Chromeo, Grizzly Bear, Black Kids, The Whigs, and a whole bunch of other bands that are going to be there.
A few of you turned me onto the Black Keys about a month ago. I went out and bought "The Big Come Up". I've been listening to that a lot. Also on my ipod right now:
Heartland - the The
Little B*tch - The Specials
The Seeker - The Who
Stray Cat Blues - Rolling Stones
Things - Paul Westerberg
Go - Tones on Tail
I had to get tickets when I saw both NIN and Radiohead. Throw in Rage and that's an awesome set of headliners. Looking forward to a ton of the acts, especially The Black Keys, MGMT and Does it offend you yeah?, CSS, Battles and Foals.
Gonna be pricey, though. $200 for tickets and I'm dropping a ton for a decent hotel downtown since my wife and son are coming along and checking out museums and the aquarium.
I didn't even think about hotel prices being jacked up for it - makes sense, though, since it will be packed. So you're going both days? That's AWESOME. I am officially jealous! I'm trying to console myself by going to Rilo Kiley in about two weeks in Minneapolis, but it's not quite the huge lineup that Lollapalooza is.
