No part of this suprises me... actually I was thinking they weren't allowing aid for foriegn countries because it would make the government look weak... they managed to fix it by taking credit for it. Incredible, but not at all a suprise

I just figured the military gov would keep it for themselves... keep the ruling military happy by feeding them and their families and therefore tighten the grip. Plastering their name on aid was pretty clever. That country is so corrupt. We knew a guy who got sent over there for a couple of years. Everyone's response was "ooohhhh" <awkward silence>...

Well of course they did.... One of the first rules of constructive international relations is the learn how to give the other guy credit for you baling him out from his own mistakes.

Unless, of course, you don't want your aid to get where it needs to go.
