Jonah Jones was a very good jazz trumpet player. I Dig Chicks won a grammy for Best Jazz Performance in 1958.
His quartet also appeared on the TV special "An Evening with Fred Astaire" which appeared on NBC in 1958. This was the first television show to be pre-recorded and produced on color video tape (before there even was color video tape - RCA engineers rigged a B&W machine to record color). That show won 9 Emmy's.
