Denver suggestions?

Sorry to bother everyone - heading to Denver for a big convention on Friday, and we're looking for some good suggestions of things to do and places to eat.

I love all foods dippable, so I think this place looks fantastic: Vesta Dipping Grill

Any other suggestions?

Awesome - they usually have a Red Meat night, so that's a great suggestion. Thanks - I'll write it down!

Re: Denver suggestions?

If you like Mexican, the Rio Grande (I think that was the name of the place) was a rather fun/good place to eat. Margaritas were huge and strong.

That will end well for everyone else in my group, as I am a total lightweight. Thanks - I'm starting a whole list now!

Re: Denver suggestions?

yo Angie- stay 'til monday, Rilo Kiley is playing @ the Ogden..

Some other suggestions....
1. denver museum of nature and science and the denver zoo are right next to one another east of downtown... very nice exhibits.
2. go for a hike @ Chataqua in Boulder, great views and trails without having to drive into the mountains
3. the Rockies are in town vs. the Twins on sat/sun, both evening games
4. Sullivan's in LoDo for great steak/seafood

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Are you kidding me??? We'll be there through Tuesday evening - I'd be seeing them twice in one week (since I'm going to MN a week from Thursday)!! That is awesome!!

AWESOME suggestions - I think I'll try and round up a group for the museum/zoo on Friday, since we get in pretty early and don't have anything scheduled until that evening. These are fantastic suggestions - thank you so much!!! I've got an extensive list of restaurants now - I love it! It's good to have outdoor suggestions, too - it looks like hopefully it will be nice.

you're welcome... we're under a winter storm watch right now for the foothills and mountains, but it should be back to typical CO weather by friday again... enjoy your trip!

Coors is just east of downtown Golden... take I70 or 6th ave. to golden, can't miss it (sight or smell)

Re: Denver suggestions?

Steak downtown, I'd suggest The Keg.
Burgers, Ted's Montana Grill in Larimer Square is very tasty.
Mexican, Rio Grande makes the best Margarita in denver. Food is only OK.
Italian, not a lot of great options but Maggianos on the 16th st mall is good family style.
Shopping, Cherry Creek area.
Beer Tours, head north to New Belgium in Ft Collins.
Golf, Fossil Trace, Arrowhead, or The Ridge are my favorites. Arrowhead is the most scenic.

Where are you staying?
