Went back the next time and the teacher actually showed up, no explanation for the prior class. Proceded then to try to get software installed on the computers in the room for that whole class. Guy was clueless. I dropped the class and demanded my money back.

About 10 years ago, took 2 econ classes for my undergraduate degree. The best way to describe it is the 13th grade, just like high school. There were no assignments, I spent only 1/2 hour studying before each multiple-choice test, I only went to 1/2 of the classes, and still ended up with more points than were possible due to the extra-credit test questions. Amazingly, there were classmates that were scraping by with C's and D's. |

I took Java classes at DMACC 5 years ago, and they were beginner courses. Enough to write a Hello World app, but nothing major. At least it would acquaint you with some of the syntax. The VB and C# classes have been upgraded, if I remember correctly. They are similar to Java, and would be more worth your time. |

It was a small class (compared to ISU) and not much work so it worked out well for me. Not sure I'd take a "technical" class there though.

Fair enough? |

Fair enough? Agreed. Especially the latest standards.

Fair enough? Fair enough. Now that we've hijacked the OP's thread
