Re: Does spring time bring around the motherly instinct?

My wife and I were 24 when our oldest was born. Had been married for 3 years, but dating for 7 before that and known each other since kindergarten so it seemed like the next logical step. We had a great time when it was just the 2 of us, but we would never go back now that there's more.
My parents are now in their late 40's and have most of the kids out of the house (I was the oldest of 4, my youngest brother is 12, and the rest of us our gone) and are loving it.
I loved it that my parents were younger growing up and wanted to have the same for my kids. Dad still plays all sports with us whenever we are home and takes part in the Christmas family wrestling tournament.

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

I grew up with older parents also. Didn't like it.

My Dad was 33 when I was born, but you would never have guessed it. Even now, at 62 he could pass for 40... My mom would even throw on catching gear and catch for my brother and I well past 40...

Like I said, I'm not worried about being an 'older' and I don't consider myself old by any stretch. If we lived in a bigger city it wouldn't be near the deal it is here...

OMG, that is the same thing MrsBrianHos told me. We had lots of trouble getting pregnant the first time, so we never thought it would actually happen. Now we have 3 kids.

If you truly do not want anymore, you need to make sure that is well known right away, and take steps to "fix" the problem, if you don't, you know she is going to win.

Ahh, getting fixed is quick and painless. Plus it actually makes her more comfortable since she was 0 worries. Kinda a nice problem to have.

^^Ditto to what he said. I just turned 29, and we're going to do in-vitro in a few months after trying for three years. I don't think I'm old at all, but it's amazing what a difference health issues and a few years make.

We did not start till I was 31 and she was 29, so you are not going to be the old man for about 10 more years.

My dad caught for soooo many years his knees were just shot. Made him a little "older" than he should have been.

Barring sickness and genetic issues, you are right. Age has alot to do with attitude and outlook.

Don't forget the happy pill....that will take you to a special place for awhile. However, the swelling puts things in places where you're not used to them being.

Re: Does spring time bring around the motherly instinct?

The wife and I were married for 3 years before we had our oldest girl. Then 3 yrs and a month later we have our 2nd girl. Then 2.5 yrs after that we have our 3rd girl. Now I live with 4 women and any thought of a 4th child being a girl would drown me in estrogen so she got fixed. I keep telling people that I had too much back pressure and blew the manhood right off of them..... When I was in college and thought about having 4 women in bed with me, it was not quite what I got going on now anytime thunder hits that is for sure.

But don't kid yourself for a minute.....I wouldn't trade my wife and 3 daughters for anything. I might change my mind when I have 3 teenage daughters, but I am enjoying life right now very well.

Question for the day: Can I still make season tickets work for FB and MBB if I move to Canada?

Daughters scare me. When they date and financially when they get married.
Good luck to you on those fronts.

My dad had 3 daughters from a previous marriage and then I came around. By that time, he was beat down and he had been through it all. I didnt get to cause any surprises =)
