Does spring time bring around the motherly instinct?

So I am happy with two and my wife wants to keep the option open for a third. There is no way I will let this happen. Everday now she talks about something babyish. Its scaring me. Does anyone else's wife do this sort of thing? I know some of you closed up show surgically. I have thought about it. Im scared she will catch me in a moment of weakness and Ill be back to making formula in no time. I hate spring.

I was in the exact same boat as you. Whenever my wife was around a little girl, the talk of having a third child started up again. (We have two boys.)

She still would very much like to have another child, but the rational arguments against it put forth by me has finally won out.

Glad mine isn't the only one. We want one more but she's wanting to jump the gun I think.

re: Does spring time bring around the motherly instinct?

Well here is what I got this weekend. "bostinelosd, I am going to stop taking the bc" "I feel it messes with my body too much and it dampens my libido"

While that sounds great and dandy, I feel she is revving up for a hostile takeover. Kids are great but Im ready to just enjoy my current ones and live my life. Babies are hard and Im ready to move on.

You could do temporary foster care. It's a great thing that is much needed, and it's not a permanent thing for you.

If that's her argument, just say "Terrific. We should look at getting you an IUD. I hear they're more effective, more convenient, don't mess with you as much as BC, and don't affect your Libido."

I think the issue is deeper than this. I would love for her to do that. She knows about it, but its her decision and hers alone. All I can do at this point is run.

I think you've answered your own question.

And I, Bruno, will dive 1,000 feet into a block of cement. On my head, yet!

Ha ha! I just feel bad. I know it tears her up inside not to have another one, but you just have to draw the line somewhere.

honestly... I would love to have more, but the wife had this to say:

"only two kids are coming out of this body" I guess hinting I could father kids with other women?

until her follow up point, while i was just finishing my thought

"Either you get fixed or I do. Do you really want me to have a scar across my stomach?"

I have since been to the doctor and had my 'problem' fixed. Kids are a blessing... I wish we could have had more.

We lucked out and had a boy first, girl second. We both think we are done. Every so often however for reasons I can not for the life of me figure out, I think it would be cool to have another.

Man...I've heard more than one horror story about these. Be careful.

Yeah, dont need horror stories in my life. Maybe we should pass on that.

I sometimes tell myself, I would like to have that elusive daughter, but I would probably end up with twin boys or something. I love my two boys right now and they are a blast. I just never enjoyed the "baby" stage. I was so ready to be done with that. I like where they are now 2 and 4. They play with each other and they are really into helping dad and hanging out with dad. Its a blast. I feel like 2 is the perfect number for me. They get even attention and keep each other company when I cant always play.
