I love these as well and voted no. Another thing I like is the build up over summer in anticipation of football, not just ISU but all football. It helps get me super pumped for football.

Re: Poll of the Day

I pretty much have nice/decent weather year round (yeah, some colder days, some rain and such) but I'm always outside - if I could bypass everything after the super bowl to get back to football season, I'd be in for it!

Actually not really because I will be all wrapped up in FB season and spend my days in Ames or near a radio/TV instead of on a golf course.

To many good things to skip in the summer but it is tempting.

Re: Poll of the Day

I voted no.

Can't give up baseball.
It's nice being able to work and get paid for 40 hours a week vs the 20 hours they limit us to during the school year for on-campus jobs.
Grilling out, going to the lake, laying around doing absolutely nothing (no class), the list goes on.
Oh...and warm weather

No way. Summer goes by fast enough without skipping over it and I enjoy a LOT of summertime activities. Besides, as fast as time seems to go anymore, football season will be here before you know it.

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

I'm always anxious for football to start, but it's not worth wasting the summer away. Besides, for the past few years the excitement and anticipation building up as football season approaches has been much better than the actual season anyways.

Patrick who?

OK...I voted prematurely on this. I said I'd rather have football season, but then thought I'd much rather have a few months of summer first. After this past winter, we all need a break!

There's a lot to be said for anticipation before building up to the real thing. if you don't understand that. ask your wife to explain it to you. It's the journey, not so much the destination.....

Such mixed emotions about this post:
