Poll of the Day

If you could: would you give up your summer just to get to football season? To me, this is a tempting question.

Re: Poll of the Day

I ultimately decided I hate cold weather more than anything, so a summer prolongs that 3 more months.

If it means not having to work and getting paid for 3 months, then yes, count me in for skipping summer.

Re: Poll of the Day

Ok. So far this question is not as close as I thought on results. At least get the olympics this summer.

Re: Poll of the Day

I wasn't the biggest baseball fan up until I was about 18 or 19 and didn't really watch it too much until playoff time (much like I do with NBA basketball now.) But now those sports have kind of flip-flopped for me and I watch a lot more baseball and follow my Cardinals pretty closely and don't follow the NBA as much in the reg. season. If that wasn't that case I would be MUCH more inclined to say, hell yeah, skip it and get to Iowa State Cyclone football, because that is my #1 team and #1 sport out of anything. Plus you do NOT beat tailgating outside of JTS. But having the Cards to watch, beer to drink...along with all the other great summer activities like boating, tubing, swimming pools, barbeques/grillouts, etc. I gotta stick with summer being great....plus an Iowa winter makes me appreciate the beautiful summers that much more.

Footballs great and all, but there is very little that I would do to sacrafice three months of my life. And football isn't anywhere close to making the list.

OK, I'm in for this. If I can still be paid, but not have to work, I'll skip summer.

Assuming this isn't the case, I voted not to skip it.

There is a game called GOLF that I couldn't sacrifice to get to FB season just to watch what likely will be an avg FB team.

I figured that it would get me closer to October in Jamaica, so it seems cool

Golf, grilling, patio beers, swimming pools, shorts...these are just a few reasons I voted no.

I voted no, but now I'm tempted some by yes. Still, I probably wouldn't do it.

Co-worker and I were having this very discussion yesterday before we left. I said unequivocally without any doubt - yes - I would skip summer to fast forward to football season. I wouldn't hesitate.

There are enough nice days in late August, September and even October to keep me happy. :)

All I gotta say is: Europe, summer, women's fashions.

I can't come back this fall anyway, so NEXT summer, let's have this conversation and we'll see...

I voted no. tempting, but I don't want to give up 3 months of golf, laying in the pool, and softball. I would fast forward to give up 3 months of mowing though.

You can still do all that stuff in September, and if it's still warm enough, in October...
