CNN.com now issuing tornado warning alerts

Just noticed at the top of CNN.com, they're listing tornado warnings for a couple counties in Mississippi. Not a bad idea, IMO.

Re: CNN.com now issuing tornado warning alerts

I can see it going something like this, too...

"Honey, those clouds look pretty ominous. We'd better check the weather. Which has more info...local radio or local TV?"

"Neither. CNN.com has all of our local weather pinpointed."

Re: CNN.com now issuing tornado warning alerts

I guess I don't see why not. It's not as if CNN doesn't have their own weather department. And if anyone remembers Jacqui Jeras, well, she was on WHO something like 10 years ago. Plus she's a JLMC grad from Iowa State. Instant credibility IMO.

It's fine as long as they don't interrupt my online viewing of My Name is Earl reruns.

It's ALWAYS at the best part. Can't they wait for commericals? Nobody watches them anyway. I guess that would be an advantage of recording it. Just fast forward through the weather stuff.

Sorry.

Actually, they are doing that more and more down here. Unless a tornado or severe winds/hail are actually ravaging the immediate Metroplex, they run crawls and then use commerical time to give updates on the situation.

The last time Atlanta had a tornado I saw more pictures of the CNN sign than I could count. All roads lead to CNN HQs.
