Gimp Help

I know several people on here use Gimp, and I need some help. After you select an area using the intelligent scissors option, how do you move that selection only? I know you use Ctr-Alt, and click, but that just move the outline, not the selected part of the image.

I don't have Gimp installed here, just at home. I won't have time to look at it tonight though.

Have you tried the help files?

I know in Photoshop there is a move icon you can click on, changes the cursor and allows you to move selected layers or selected items. I think Gimp operates in a similar way.
