Beer

Why purchase beer if it has no alcoholic content?

I've never quite figured out the attraction myself.

I agree

It's like buying porn with no nudity!

Re: Beer

I've never bought Non-Alcoholic beer, but there are people that like to drink it for the taste, not just the alcohol...

Re: Beer

My pregnant wife will drink the stuff when we are out with friends. It makes her feel more involved. Like she actually drinking with us. She still gets easily annoyed when we get drunk and claims she is tired at 9:30 and wants to go home so the stuff doesnt really help her out in that regard.

Re: Beer

My dirty little secret: I've never been drunk on beer. I have a pretty fast metabolism, and even when I do get a decent buzz, I sober up real quick.

It's just too much work to get drunk on beer.

But I like beer. I remember when they first rolled out non-alcoholic beer in Iraq at the MWR tent - someone bought me one, and I saved it and drank it with my dinner. Words cannot say how disappointed I was with the experience.

But I do know that the waterless cleansers that come as a clear gel, smell EXACTLY like a Tom Collins....

Ummm, do you have a nipple on your beer when you drink? Just curious just how many you can consume in 1 hour over say a 4 hour stretch and not get even the slightest buzz? I know people that will drink beer but they'll nurse their beer for a good 40 minutes or so before they ever finish it.

I've never "chugged" any alcoholic beverage, nor have I played "drinking games".

Having said that, I tend to drink alone, and at my own pace. Usually something 80 proof or better, and never as a mixed drink.

I'm kind of "old-school" in that way. I learned to drink starting at age 5; my family is very ethnically German, and if you want to drink in my Dad's house, you can drink. Plus, I've spent a large portion of my adult life in "the old country".

I can probably put away a Mass (1 Liter) of beer per hour and still feel alright.

And I'm not kidding about the blast furnace that is my metabolism. (Even at 44 years of age) I lost 60 pounds a year and a half ago in about a month and a half, without trying too hard.
